Hitting the spacebar no longer switches to the Hand Tool. And, Cmd-spacebar no longer brings up the Zoom Tool. This happened out of the blue. Do I need to re-install? Any suggestions would be helpful

FIrst, check to make sure you are using thecorrect shortcut set (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts...). The next step would be to trash your prefs. See Replace Your Preferences
Hi Peter... Thank you for your suggestions, but I am using the correct keyboard shortcust set and replacing my preferences as you suggested didn't work either. Thanks for you help anyway.
If you're on a Macintosh, go to Keyboard preferences. See if the shortcuts for Spotlight are interfering. It uses Cmd + Space by default, unless you edit it.
Hi Steve... the shortcut for spotlight has been interferring all along, but I was able to work around it by pressing the keys a second time. Also, the space bar has stopped bring up the Hand Too. Guess I'll have to re-install, huh?
