since i installed flash player 11, my computer keeps crashing, going to memory dump at random times. the only way around this (other than remaining in safe mode) is to re-download flash player in safe mode and it allows the computer to come back to (basically) normal for a time... until it decides to rinse and repeat again. Is there any way around this? Would downloading an older version of flash player be preventative medicine in this case? Anyone have suggestions?
I am currently running 32 bit Vista and Safari is our typical web browser of choice. (Please note that safari has rarely been open when it crashed, so i'm not sure if it's valid information. But at this point i would try anything.)
Could you try updating to our latest release? Here's the details:
Since this occurs without the browser running, I tend to suspect other culprits (like memory, graphic drivers, IO system, etc.) However, the latest update does address a bug in our update service that runs once an hour and can crash on certain systems. I've never heard of it bringing a system down, but we might as well try.
