Lightroom continually opens itself

Nothing new is plugged in, but Lightroom opens multiple times when I'm on the computer. I close it and it opens again, sometimes immediately. It may be a setting (although nothing has been changed, to my knowledge) but I don't know how to fix it! Love Lightroom but this is driving me nuts!! Windows 7, Lightroom 3.

    When it opens, does it open at the Import Screen? If so, do you have any USB-connected external drives normally connected? Maybe you have an intermittent problem on one of them which causes an disconnect/reconnect?

     

    Check your Preferences (Edit>Preferences>General Tab) to see if "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected" is checked. If so, try unchecking it to see if the problem goes away.
