Hi.
I cannot get ADE to save my purchased ebooks. I can open them with ADE but they do not appear in the library nd they disappear when I close the program. I have no problems borrowing ebooks from the library with ADE. I have tried to reinstall and have read a lot of tutorials and FAQs. How can I fix it?
I have tried downloading books with both Firefox and Chrome and I use Windows 7.
Reinstalling won't help your situation. I think there's an easy solution,
though.
When you're in the download process, and Windows asks you whether you want
to OPEN or SAVE the ebook, choose SAVE. ADE then will download the ebook
and place it in your library. If you choose OPEN, ADE downloads the ebook,
opens it to read and does not enter it into the library.
Hope this helps!

There's a couple of things you must know in order to do this, however. One
is where the ebook is located, and the other is what the name of the ebook
is.
The location is probably in the Adobe Digital Editions folder on your
computer's C:\ drive. You can use Windows utilities to open that folder
and locate names of the files inside it.
The name of the ebook may - or may not - have a resemblance to the title of
the ebook that's displayed when it's open. Unfortunately, there's no
distinguishing information to tell whether the ebooks are in the library or
in reading mode. So, take a guess. It won't hurt, because ADE will tell
you if you try to add an ebook that's already there.
The process for adding the ebook to the library is described in the HELP
section (F1 key from Library view), but it's pretty easy. In Library view,
click on the small arrow next to the word 'Library'. A drop-down menu will
appear. Choose 'Add Item To Library' from that menu, and then follow the
screen prompts from there.
Hope this helps!
