Hi. Captivate 4 Publish is suddenly 'not responding'. It doesn't even get to the publish window and I can't shut it down with task manager. I have to reboot. On Windows 7. I published a 30 slide project with audio successfully several times over the last 2 days. then today I imported 2 PPT 2010 slides into this same project and published successfully. I didn’t like the results of the slide import, so I deleted the 2 PPT slides from the project. Saved the project. Then tried to publish again with a ‘not responding’ result. Crashed, frozen, dead.
I opened other Captivate 4 projects and I can’t publish those either. I replaced my preferences file per the troubleshooting instructions – no success. I started new projects from scratch and they won't publish either. I uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate 4 and I still cannot publish. I've worked on this for 4 hours and nothing is working. I've closed down everything else running on my pc.
Note that I also run Captivate 5.5 on the same machine and have done so successfully for a very long time now. Other than import the PPT slides then delete them later – nothing changed. Can anyone please advise?

Which version of Adobe Captivate 4 are you using ? (4.0.0 or 4.0.1)
Note : Try installing CP 4.0.1 update and see does it make a difference (CP 4.0.1 path : http://download.macromedia.com/pub/captivate/update/captivate_4_update r.zip)
Did you tried working of Adobe Captivate 4 from a different user account ?
