Applying Grahpic Styles and Image Trace --> Crash

Hello, hopefully someone can help me here.

 

My Illustrator cs6 crashes on two ocassions:

 

  • when opening the Graphic Styles Windows to apply one.
    • what I tried
      • reinstalling / after deinstalling with all connected files -> clean software removal
      • deleting any self-made / custom graphic styles
      • update
  • when tracing an image
    • what I tried
      • different images, with different resolutions, with different colors, with different trace presets on different documents
      • reinstalling / after deinstalling with all connected files -> clean software removal
      • update

 

 

My system:

MacBook Pro early2012 (Pre Retina-Display)

Mac OS x 10.7.4

2.2Ghz Intel Core i7

8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 Ram

 

 

Frankly I don't now what else to do, any ideas?

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

    If you are getting crashes when you open your graphic styles window, how were you able to delete them, please clarify if thsi crasehs every time or if the problme is interemittent. Does this happne on onay new document, or on an existing document?

     

    Try resetting your Adobe Illustrator prefs.

    Hello Mike,

     

    the crashes are permanent, every time I click the graphic styles window and it happens on new and old Documents, doesn't matter.

    I deleted the "new" and "custom" graphic styles in the application folder so that they are back to default, which ex helped with PS.

     

    Preferences already resettet and after a clean install they are usually clean.
