So I have clicked to download a trial of design standard. Information tells me it will automatically start my download, but I have to run the file myself and then I am given no option to download design standard only web and design premium and so on, I do not need any web stuff. I could download photoshop, illustrator and indesign seperately but will this cause problems when I want to buy the proffesional version ?
Also just as an aside complaint I would love to be able to pay for this software in incriments, I really want the proffessional version but don't have all the cash upfront to pay for it. Would be cool if you brought in an option for this.
Cheers
You will need to initiate a download of Design Standard directly from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=design_standard&lo c=en_us. It will still use the Adobe Download Assistant but the download needs to be initiated by the page.
This is unhelpful as it seems many people are having the same issue. The link that you suggest which I used did not self initiate as it should using firefox or google chrome. I did however eventually get it to work in explorer. It would be helpful to other users if there was some better testing for the link in Firefox especially since a large majority of designers prefer this browser.
