When I edit a picture out of Bridge into ACR
.The changes don't show up in Lightroom.
How can I change this?

Camera Raw preferences set to save .xmp files?
You'll need to save the file as DNG. After making your adjustments, click the Save Image button (lower left) and save as a DNG file.
If XMP files are being used to store settings in both LR4 and ACR and are up-to-date then there’s no need to convert to a DNG. In LR you may need to synchronize metadata to pick up the new edits from the XMP file.
How do I synchronize the metadata?
That's the part I need to know...
Where do I set Camera Raw preferences...?
I think when you right-click (windows) on a folder and do Synchronize that also sync's metadata for anything in that folder.
