Are they blank rectangles, or has the whole grid area disappeared, leaving you a long, narrow import window?

No grid..just black , when I go ahead and import it works...but of course i cannot select th eones i wish to import.. Clicking on the triangle as directed with the red arrow on this link made no difference??

Are you importing from your camera or from a card reader? Try using the other device and see if that makes a difference.

It wouldn't hurt for you to tell us what camera and operating system you're using.

I am on Windows 7, I usually user acard reader..always have! Lightroom 3.6
Prior to 2 weeks ago it all worked perfectly. Then I had to change the drives over and now it is misbehaving (or I am )! A very savvy guy told me he didn't know why this was happening either but thought it might be Lightroom! Any help is much appreciated!
