Greetings Jeff,

Thanks for your response. The download took a long time, over 10 hours and then the extraction was going on for over two days, as I left it alone. I have trashed the CS6 folder, it indicated 7. something GB. Then I uninstalled the Adobe download assistant. I started the download again and when I clicked on the download assistant I get an error message, "error extracting the product installer (error 102). try downloading again". But every time I try to download I get that error message or another which I indicated in the Adobe post.

This is likely due to the Adobe Download Assistant displaying that it is still Extracting your download.  Please allow the extraction process to complete.  If you continue to have problems please cancel the download and try again.  I would recommend downloading the install files to the default of your User folder.
