Menu Questions

Aug 2, 2012 1:43 PM

Hi,

I am learning to use Encore for BluRays.

I created a top and 3 Chapter menu. The rendering with my I7, 24 GB Ram, 2 SSDs plus raid and W7/64 takes about 5 minutes. As soon as I add a wave or MP3 Music to the menus (3 minutes), it takes about 3 hours! How can that be?

I tried to use on sub menu with pages instead of the 3 chapter menus but in this case, I can't go to the following pages, although I tried to link the pages with the buttons. So one problem that results into another problem for the workaround.

Hans anybody experienced the same and a solution to this?

Best regards,

Can you post a screen-cap of one of your Menus open in Photoshop, with the Layers Palette visible, and the Button Layer Sets twirled open?

That does not sound correct for the processing time. Now, I am usually working in DVD, but even with a Main Menu, and four Scene Selection Menus, all having music (I happen to use AC3 DD 5.1 SS, but PCM/WAV should not take any longer), and Motion on all, I render in about 1 - 2 mins, on a much less powerful machine. I do not know what to tell you to look for, but maybe that screen-cap will point up a problem somewhere.

    Good luck,

    Hunt
