Fill a shape with the colors outside

Good evening,

 

I'm looking for a way to fill a mask with a gradient or a similar blurry mix of the colors right outside of the mask. The plugin Twixtor does an awesome job at it for creating the backgrounds for it's timewarped foregrounds, but I cannot use it, because, well, it's used to timewarp footage and therefore is slow as hell.

I hope somebody knows a way or a plugin that could do something like that, I would be really grateful.
