Adding password protection to a modified PDF file in iOS Reader 10.3

Is there a way to add a password to a PDF file that was modified from an unprotected PDF original, using the free iOS version of Reader, without having to buy a third-party app?

 

On that note, can you protect a subfolder within the Documents folder without leaving the app?
