I did both solutions and still, it didn't work. inDesign CS 5.5 doesn't even open anymore.
Which solutions would that be? Did you follow the instructions at InDesign Help | InDesign Crashes with Blank Dialog Boxes on MacOS 10.7.4
What is happeing when you try to open ID CS5.5? Please be very specific.
Yes I did follow both solutions.
When I tried solution 1, it says "this updated is not needed for OS 10.8 or later".
And then, I tried solution 2. I followed the post exactly the way it explains. So what's wrong...
So I click on indesign, and then it takes a while to load, and then it quits.
Then, this appears:

Looks like a problem with SING. See SING Removal
I developed this Blank Dialogue Box just today. Yesterday, ID worked fine. I'm running ID CS6 on OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1.
I went to the recommended FIX page and downloaded Fix #1: CopyiconRsrcdePrimpt1.app. BUT now this app won't open because "it came from an unidentified developer." ...how now???
However, they seem to be working on it with Apple. Meantime, I CAN get into ID by simply opening a previous file. Everything works fine, except there is no dialogue box. I'll wait for the update - but not too long.....
ok, help! I don't seem to have a folder at all for idrc_....
I'm Applications/Adobe InDesign CS6/contents/MacOS/Required/Application UI.IndesignPlugIn/ Versions/A/Resources and all i have listed is:
Application UI.rsrc
Info.plist
PkgInfo
I used the search tool on Finder for idrc to triple check myself, and the only thing it's finding are the fixes i just downloaded.
