Cannot start Dreamweaver

After downloading and installation I get the messsage "You can't open the application Adobe Dreamweaver CS 6 because it is not supported on this type of Mac." That is strange, because Photoshop, Illustrator etc. have been installed in the same way from Creative Cloud and are o.k.

What can I do?

Did you receive any error messages during the download and install process? You might also try removing Dreamweaver, downloading the trial, and then choosing the License this Software option. You will then want to enter your Adobe ID tied to your Creative Cloud subscription.

Yes, it worked.

Just a few additional clues.

I uninstalled Dreamweaver with the uninstaller, including Preferences.
After downlading the trial with the Download Assistant I had to choose the Subscription option.

Also a recommendation ("!" in a triangle) was made to me of needing a 1200 x 800 screen (I do have, but it is used in portrait mode). I tried to install anyway, just to see if it would work, and it did.
