If I use the eraser tool to remove parts of a straight horizontal line, the resulting lines are not 180°. Am I doing something wrong?
Hold the shift key and drag the eraser tool when erasing. Se if that works!
No, that does not solve the problem. The lines aren't off much from 180°, but they are off.
Unfortunately the eraser tool doesn't go well with open paths and strokes. It works with closed paths and fills.
It's the wrong tool for this job.
It appears that the scissors tool does cut the lines and not distort them. Only problem there is the need to manually delete the cut section that would have been removed with the eraser tool.
Use the Path Erasor Tool. Look for it in the Pencil Group on the Tools panel.
