My husband has tried to uninstall the flash player so he could reinstall it and has been having a problem.
First he went to his program list in the control area and clicked on uninstall for the adobe flash and it supposedly did it. Anyway it was no longer on the list of programs. He rebooted the computer and once again checked the program list-no adobe flash.
so, he went into Adobe online and clicked on the download button.
It downloaded and then near the finish it came up and said that he already had the flash in his computer and there was a download error. Once again we checked the program list and it still wasn't on the list. but, it was saying it was there when he went to download it into the computer-yet, it didn't show up on the computer or the program list.
Also, he is supposed to temporarily shut down his Trend Micro A/V security before he does that?
I couldn't find where to do that-if so.
Main problem is what is happening with the flash.
So, what is going on with it.
My husband and I are not computer specialists and don't know all that techy stuff, so any help is appreciated on this.
Thank you,

There are other people having the exact same problem. However, I am unable to reproduce it.
See my post in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4600414#4600414 how I uninstalled & reinstalled Flash Player without any problem.
Trend micro told me about the uninstaller and gave me the link with instructions. We downloaded the uninstaller into our downloads, clicked out of internet explorer and then went into the uninstaller and uninstalled whatever was on the computer and it worked this time. Then I went into Adobe and downloaded the flash player and then restarted the computer. It was in.
A message kept popping up from internet explorer asking it we want to allow Adobe. I clicked on-don't ask me again/yes and it seems to be fine now.
Thank you for your help.
