How do I change font size when entering info into a document?

What kind of document? With what application do you want to enter new information?

I downloaded an interactive document with Adobe Acrobat and I can enter
info, but the font is so large that I can't get all the info into the
spaces provided. I can't see a place where I can change the font size.

You mean a form? You can zoom in or out to make the fonts appear smaller, but you cannot change how much text you can enter into a form that has a limit defined.

Yes, it does make the font seem smaller, but then so are the spaces where
the info goes . For instance where I need to put in a phone number, there
is not enough space for the size of the font, which seems to be defaulted
to a particular size, no matter how much I zoom. I was hoping there was,
like on Word, the option to adjust the font size.
