Is this the new update that would cause this?
I can watch the news just fine at CBC.ca it seems to have no problems. But if I try to watch episodes of the Dragons Den (that used to work before the update) it doesn’t even what to load. Now the strange part if I go to HGTV.ca and try to watch some show episodes there, the commercials will load ok most of the time, but not the show. The rare time the show will load when it comes back from an ad the show will no longer load and crash adobe. I am finding this frustrating My system is Windows 7 64bit using Firefox 14.0.1 and updated to flash player to 11.3.300.270. Not sure what is going on and not really a computer person. Any help would be nice.
The 11.3.300.270 update should not have caused this. The change made between 268 and 270 was not related to the Flash Player plugin itself. Do you have any ad blocking utilities installed? Have you tried these pages using another browser?
Thanks for the reply Chris.
No I have not tried another browser since I like to use FireFox. I guess when I get the chance I can see what happens in Explorer.
The funny thing is that I was able to watch Dragons Den with no problems before I put the update in, So the only thing that changed was the update for flash????? I see different thing on here asking about Real Player and I watched that little video you made. I will say that I don't have real player installed and as for checking plug-ins with the instuctions you made I am not all the computer smart to start playing around with that stuff.... I can screw somthing up if I start playing around with that stuff???
Maybe I will wait for a friend to come over and get them to check it out.
If there another update coming out soon that I may try?
When Flash crashs and it asks to send a crash report, is that really doing anything. Should I be sending that???
When I go to http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/episodes.html?ID=2192251075 - a voice says "this content is currently unavailable". I don't think this is Flash Player...
Pat. Thanks for checking it out, and yeah that does happen to, but when I hear that I figure thats the website not the flash. Mind you I have not heard that since the flash update, all I get is nothing, the system will hang up for about 1min or so then nothing the site is there but nothing plays and nothing loads. When I goto HGTV and watch an episode of something, sometimes it loads fine where it startes to play the ad then after the ad is done and the episode is supposed load it will crash and ask me to send a crash report or load the page. I can reload the page and some times the episode will start but crash again when it trys to load the next ad. Other times I can't even get it to start to play the 1st ad before it will crash. I can watch the News ok most times, once and while that will give me a hard time as well. Before the new update none of this would happen. I had no probelms watching the Dragons Den or HGTV or the News. The only thing it could be is the update to Flash, thats the only thing that has changed. I have not tried Explorer yet as I am at work right now but I shall that and see what happens. I would still like to get FireFox working as I have all my bookmarks there and I just generally like it better.
I was able to try Explorer today and found that Dragons Den worked with some hang up's in full screen mode. HGTV didn't work at all, and the news was crashing Explorer when trying to load.
I find it hard to beleive that this is a problem with the computer since its only Flash that is giving me any problems and this only started after the update.
Not sure what else to do??
Is there any more 'updates' coming out any time soon to fix some of the issues?
Should I be trying something like an uninstall and reinstall??
I am not happy about this..... why put an update out that don't work?
I never had a problem before the update whats going on, Adobe?
NEW INFO that you should know.
I had my girlfriend bring over her lap top, she has not update her flash and is using Explorer I can get the version number later but everything work. HGTV, the News, Dragons Den..... so I really think that its your flash update that is the issue.....
She is using Windowns Visa sp2
Explorer ver. 9.0.8112.16421
Flash ver. 10.1.102.64
and it works fine.
I get the same "this content is currently unavailable" audio message when trying this link. I've tried it with 11.3.300.270 and 10.1.102.64. I suspect that I'm locked out because of my geo location.
If it works on your girlfriend's system, you might want to try downgrading your Flash Player to see if you can isolate the most recent version that works. You might also want to contact the CBC.
