I have tried the project archiver and noticed it didn't trim the media I used in the project. I didn't use a full lenght of some of the MOV files - I used just some parts of them.
When I used it in PrE 4 it used to trim and save only trimmed media in the archive. Right now this is not the case - the trimmed archive contains full media files.
I have tried the "archive" option of the project archiver.
Does anyone have any idea why it doesn't trim? Do I need to enable any extra option?
Thank you in advance.
Hi Steve,
As mentioned in the original post - I have tried the "archive" option of the project archiver.
This is really weird, I checked my old archives and I can confirm the feature worked as expected in PrE 8 as well as 4. The trimmed clips had _1, _2 etc added to their names. Right now I'm getting only the original clips coppied (not trimmed) even though when I do the archive there is a window displayed saying "trimming media".
Could you confirm this option should still trim in PrE 10 or did they change something?
Steve,
Here is an example of my old archive from 2010. It's a list of dir content:

As you can see there are files like mvi_3082_*
The original file was mvi_3082 but I had sliced it when I made the project. When I archived it the original long file 3082 was trimmed into short clips, only these parts which were used in the time grid. The output above comes from a project made in PrE 8. I made a few and observed the same behaviour for each of them.
I found it as a very nice feature as when the original files were for example 5GB the archived version could be as low as 2 GB (as I cut a lot of rubbish scenes)
