I have purchased cs6 but says invalid serial number when asked to enter

I bought a hard copy of cs6 but dont have a dvd drive on my macbookpro. So when I go to install the trial version and enter a valid serial number, it says that it is invalid? What do I have to do to install this photoshop!!!

    It is perfectly fine to download the trial versiona nd then enter the serial number from the purchased box. The Serial number will be written on the back of the disc case. See http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.

     

    Is your purchase a direct purchase from adobe.com, or did you buy through a reseller?

    Is the boxedpfroduct you purchased, for Mac or Windows. It'l be mentioned on the box, disc, and the order.

    Also, is this a fresh purchase or are you upgrading from a previous version? If you're upgrading, then the installer will also prompt you to enter the serial number for the qualifying version.

     

    Please provide some more details and then folks can have enough information to help you.
