Supported video card with CS6

I read in forums that the new CS6 encoder is supporting CUDA tech and if i export a H.264 file or Mpeg2 it'll be faster, In contrast CS5.5 that only in the premiere support the Marqury but if encodding with Encoder it slower. I want to know if it true and if i Have to buy the Supported cards in Adobe's list, becuse i want to buy the new GTX 670 and i didn't see it in the list, so what can i do?

    First of all CUDA technology has been supported since CS5, so CS5.5 and CS6 all make use of this technology to use the GPU to accelerate the functions in this list.  Technically it does not do the H.264 and MPEG2 encoding, but if you apply any of the effects or features in that document it speeds up the encoding functions significantly..  Yes, you can use the GTX670 but you have to add one new line to the Adobe "cuda_support_cards.txt" file

    OK,

    But it'll be support with the export in Encoder?

    (for example, now i export a 1 hour, with Ultra Key that support marqury and it's take 3:30 hours. and if i'll buy the CS6 and the GTX670 it'll be faster?)

    Do not expect CS6 to be faster than CS5.5 the prime reason to go to CS6 is for new features

     

    With your CS5.5 are you currently using a CUDA card?

    Yes, I have GT540M and i add it in the CUDA.TXT. 

    It isn't a fast card (98 CUDA cores but 4GB (2+2)) so i export 1 hour in 3:30 hours (using a ultra key effect on green screen).

    But i read that the CS5.5 doesn't use the card anyway in Encoder (expect you user export in Premiere) but the CS6 can use the Video card in Encoder.

    So it isn't true? can i stay at CS5.5 but update my Video card? or something else like RAM?

    If you have the GT 540M (mobile) you are using a laptop and can't upgrade.

    I know, i going to buy a PC. that's way i ask if i need to upgrade to CS6 and better video card, or i need to invest on something else...

    Tell us you plans in terms of components and budget and we may have suggestions.

     

    There is no need to upgrade to CS6, only a willingness if funds are available.

    I work with HDV camera, and i to work with it on the timeline, i don't need a RealTime fast working especially, but i do need a fast export from premiere to Encoder.

    I thought that the CPU and RAM doesn't matter, and the best is to invest a very good video card like GTX670. if i worng, tell me what should i need to buy, Thank's...

     

    (I don't need a 5000$ PC becouse i don't work with After Effects and RealTime Render, just a normal use in Premiere and Exporting)

    Adobe Forums: What PC to build? An update...

     

    For export you need:

     

    1. Fast CPU
    2. Lots of RAM
    3. Good disk setup
    4. ...
    5. ...
    6. ...
    7. ...
    8. ...
    9. Fast video card.

    OK, thank u very much, just 2 things:

     

    1. So there is no difference between CS5.5 and CS6 with the Encoder export that using more hardware?

    2. what is Good disk setup?
