Capture the contents of the pdf submission and create a new document based on the data?

Are there any programs that can capture the contents of the pdf submission and create a new document based on that? I want to convert the data from a fillable pdf form into an automatically generated shipping label. Thanks!

    Have you looked at exporting the field data to an FDF file and then importing that FDF file into a new PDF?

     

    For users with Reader you will need to add a button and a special script file in a specific location to import the FDF file.

    When the FDF file is imported into a PDF, does the PDF need to have the same exact field names as the FDF file?

    No. Any extra field names in the FDF are ignored. Any extra field names in the PDF are not touched.

    Only field names that are an exact match. One can use JavaScript and hidden fields to match up field names if needed.

    If I had an order form with fillable fields and they were named "First Name", "Last Name," "Address," and then submitted it as an FDF; I could then open up the fdf data using a pdf form ( in a shipping label format) with exact field names "First Name", "Last Name," and "Address" and the fields will then get populated?

    Yes. Even multiple copies of the field with the same name will all get populated (for example you can put the person's name on each page).
