Flash player freeze

I am running windows XP (32 bit). I have installed the latest version of flash player but every time I try watch a caption on you tube it runs for about 2 seconds and then freezes. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled flash player but it doesnt seemhelp. Is there a setting I need to change or an app I need to download
