3D render issues

Since older versions of Illustrator I have problems rendering 3D shapes. There are areas that are not drawn. Does anyone have any idea what causes this problem?

Quite frnkly thaat does not look like a 3D Effet Extrude to me.

Can you describe how you created it and can you show use the art wok selected witht eh layers panel expanded and the Appearance Panel Expanded as well.

This is what I get using a stroked no filled rounded rectangle.

I would say that what you are showing definitley does not look like a 3D Bevel and extrude effect.

Definitely need an explanation as to how it was created.

Thanks Wade,

I believe the problem is in the process I used, I'm using 2 forms and pathfinder to cut, after that i apply Bevel and Extrude.
