Can liteobx work with text?

I am designing a menu, and I want to make it so the menu is on the same page only when clicked on it brings up a PDF that looks like a lite box image you know the ones that have the background that is greyed out until you click outside of it to close it. I would use an image, but I want to make it so the text is selectable so it needs to be in a PDF format. Is this possible?

it would be like that only the people could highlight the text because it would be a PDF.

    I don't think Litebox itself is going to cut it, I haven't used it in a while and don't remember how it handles content other than images. There's a very nice bit of scripting called "Highslide" that can give you pretty much any content in a Litebox style pop out...

    www.w3schools.com is a good resource for learning javascript from the ground up.

     

    You probably won't find any javascript tutorials specific to what you are looking for other than how-to's to implement pre-built codes like Litebox and Highslide though.
