Extract groups of images from pdf file

I would like information on how to extract groups of images from pdf's. So if two or more images are all touching eachother, overlaping, or within 1-2 pixels, I want them extracted as one image with a transparent background. So how it appears in the pdf with 5 images together I want extracted at one image. Is this possible? What is the best way to go about achieving this?

    You could certainly write a custom plugin for Acrobat to do this.

    The plugin portion of the Acrobat SDK, for C/C++ programmers, can certainly provide you the tools you need.

     

    You would download the SDK and start reading…
