cant install flash player

I tried installing a new version of flash and it will d/l but it wint install it.  i tried deleting my old version, turning off my morton firewall, etc.  still wont install.  any ideas?

    it would d/l and as soon as it would start to install, it would stop and say close out IE, i would and then itwould just stop and say it didnt install..   i finally got it to load.  after a dozen tries, it just went.   not sure why.  still puzzles me, but its working now.
