Possible 10.8 issues with ID CS 5.5

Aug 6, 2012 12:08 PM

Upgraded to 10.8 the day it came out. Everything seems to be working pretty good but every once in a while, I will try to open an ID document from the Finder and I get the beach ball of death. Won't go away. Have to force quite ID and re-open. Everything comes back up including the document I tried to open.

Here is the crash log

One other odd thing happens too. When ID comes back up, it restores the documents that were open ALONG WITH documents that WERE open previously but were not currently open at the time of the crash/problem. That's odd.

Please do not post crash reports here. Post them on pastebin.com and post a link.

As for the issue, I'm running CS5.5 and CS6 with no issues at all on Mountain Lion. However, I did a clean install, not an upgrade.

What you are seeing is the recovery file, not the original, if it opens as untitled.

The report that Bob clipped was a hang, not a crash. Does ID actually close on its own? If so, find the crash report and post it on pastebin.com. If not, see Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding for instructions on how to generate the hang report and force a crash to get a report, and post them both, then put links here.
