Where did the video come from?

Can you play it on your computer at all?

Download MediaInfo and use that to analyze the file - what is the codec info?

This usually happens if Quicktime is not installed on Windows and the MOV files contain a codec that can't be imported by Premiere Pro's custom 64-bit Quicktime importer.

Regardless, information about your platform and operating system is required, along with the info that Greg requested.

These are clips I have purchased for use in my projects. Yes they will play in a windows media player. They played in my projects before I wiped my operating system clean and rebuilt it on a SSD. I have been getting a message that I don't have Quicktime installed so I installed Quicktime 7 and I still get the same message

Windows 7 Pro service pack 1

Intel i7 Processor x980 @3.33GHz

24 GB RAM

Geforce GTX680 Video Card

OS on 256 gb SSD

Scratch on SSD

10 2TB Internal Hard Drives

1200 Power supply

That indicates that your Adobe apps (likely more than just Pr) aren't picking up the Quicktime installation. You should try uninstalling, manually cleaning out any remnants of QT, and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, then maybe reverting to an earlier version of QT would help.

FWIW, I have QT 7.7.2 installed here with CS5.5.2 and they play nicely together.

You need to CLOSE PREMIERE CS6. Then install quicktime. Then reopen CS6 and it should work. This happened to me as well.
