HI,
This is fun.
I have some 30 products that are directly shipped to my customers by the supplier.
I have set up the supplier as a customer as per some instructions I found on here...?...
I select drop ship the item when creating the product and seach for the supplier details and select them.
When in the check out I change the post code from mine (where we send our other products from) an example $9.60 posted to my post code and change the post code to the supplier in the check out and the postage goes up to $12.80,. (I am 1300km from the supplier)
This says to me the product is using my post code and not that of the drop ship supplier.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Paul
Hi Paul,
The system has not been setup to look up the postcode form the CRM record and use that as an originating postcode when the shipping is calculated in integrated shipping services. It's just not that clever. It will always use the postcode setup under eCommerce > Shipping Options.
What you need to do is to use user defined shipping options in this case, since your supplier is so far away and the difference in shipping costs is so significant.
