I try to register the ocx also manually (with regsvr32 from prompt) but I have always the error 8002801C that you can see below (I paste the log of installation, you can see the problem).

I hope somebody can help me.
I'm assuming that you've tried to do a clean install, so I think the next step would be to try and fix your file/folder/registry permissions. Can you try the steps outlined in this FAQ and let me know how it goes?
How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?
Thanks,
Chris
I have try with the procedure but not work, I have the same error when I try to install Adobe Flash Player.
When the .bat finish this is the last rows in the DOS prompt:
Elapsed Time: 00 00:00:00
Done: 12, Modified 12, Failed 0, Syntax errors 0
Last Done : C:\Windows\SysWow64\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust\PremiereElement

Other ideas?
Or is impossible to use Flash Palyer in Windows 7 64 BIT with IE?
Thank you.
I use Flash Player 11.3.300.268 on Windows 7 64-bit with IE9 (both 32-bit & 64-bit editions).
Can I ask you to try a different installer (but no guarantee that it will work better):
download the MSI installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
Make sure you run the installer as an Administrator user.
If the SubInACL procedure did not clear the permission problem, then we need to find out manually where exactly the permission is wrong. The best tool for this is Process Monitor.
Can you try the following:
Now you can try to find yourself if you can see what's going wrong, or you can send me the Logfile.PML file from ProcMon to my email address. I will send you a PM with my email address.
If that ProcMon log file is larger than 2MB or so, can you zip it up before sending it to me?
Sorry for making things so complicated, but I don't know any other way to find out what's wrong.
You might also want to try to create a new, temporary user account and see if you can get it registered there. This is not normal behavior, and very rare which leads me to believe that we're dealing with permissions in your user account or possibly at a lower level.
Out of curiosity, when you tried to register the activex by hand, did you do this from an elevated (open as administrator) command prompt?
Hi,
thank you for all answer.
When I try, about ten days ago, the procedure suggested from Pat I dont know why FP was installed correctly.
Unfortunatelly today the problem return adn I made the ProcMon log file and I jaust send it to Pat.
I hope this can help to resolve this problem (and I see in the forum that I'm not the only I have this problem!).
I'm attaching your ProcMon log file to this post; hopefully someone from the installer team can have a look at it.
Could you do steps 1 - 5 in this post:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4311497#4311497
And post the log output or email it to me at ccampbel@adobe.com?
Thanks,
Chris
When you tried to register by hand, was the command prompt elevated to admin?
It would be interesting to try these steps when registering:
Hi to all, yes, I have made a ProcMon and Pat have attached this in post #11. I have redo the procedure, now I send the new zip file to Chris mail with PML file (I'm not able to attach here in the post the file). I dont find ACCDENIED entry. Anyway it is a nightmare! I see that I'm not the lonely with problem of permission, I think is better if Adobe create a new update of Flash Player. Thank you very much. Best regards.
I was able to resolve this by manually registering the required ocx file via a command prompt with administrative privileges. I am running Win7-x64. Steps were:
1. Install Flash Player (you will receive error message about failing to register).
2. Start command prompt with administrative priviliges (Right click on Command Prompt shortcut in Start Menu and select "Run As Administrator")
3. Change to folder containing ocx file ("cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash")
4. Register ocx file ("regsvr32 Flash32_XXX.ocx" - replace XXX with appropriate file name).
However, I suspect this is just treating the symptoms, rather than the cause, and the problem will probably reoccur when a new Flash update arrives.
