Slideshow - still pictures and sound combined

Aug 7, 2012 2:49 AM

Hi All

From time to time i make some slideshows, combining still pictures i a sequence with sound. This makes up a show where stills and sound works together. Up till now I've used ProShow from Photodex.

I also have Creative Cloud membership. This means that I have a bunch of applications available. Came to think if any of the products available through this membership can be used for making these slideshows?

What about After Effects or Adobe Premiere? Are there any of the other applications available under Creative Cloud that do the trick with these slideshows?

After effects, premiere, encore, lightroom(may need to be purchased seperately), photoshop are all capable of creating a slide show with sound/music. Some are easier than others for doing so and none are automatic.

Use Bridge or lightroom to put your images into a sequence (rename all files to have a sequencial number in the name)

Look at the properties in the apps to find sequence import, and adjust the amount of time it will be displayed for. You can then import the first image, making sure the sequence check box is check in the open dialog box. The app will the import all of the images in that folder and set the timeline to the amount you had set in the preferences.

Now you can add any title pages, transitions, etc. Once that is done, you will know the length of the animation and can create music for that length.

With your cloud subscription, you should also have access to sound booth. It can create an audio sequence for you, but may take a while to learn the app.
