EDGE 6.1 installation on MAC OS X 10.7.3 fails

Please give me a hint how I can get the new installation 6.1 on my MAC OS X 10.7.3 to run. The installer tells me that that I should de-install the older version of EDGE - that's what I did - restarted the MAC - but still the message.

    How did you uninstall Adobe Edge?  Did you utilize the Uninstaller in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/Edge Uninstaller?

    Nope ... I kicked the App in the Trash and cleared it ... I will try it later on with the uninstaller and give you feedback

     

    [ ... besides that wouldn't it be nice -  since you get the notification of a new version when you start the app - that you could make an update without uninstalling the older version ... on air ]
