More RAM worth it?

My new laptop that IT gave me is Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, 4.00 GB RAM, Intel Core i5-2520M @ 2.50 GHz. It's an HP Elitebook 8460p. I wasn't asked for input as to what I'd like. It's got CS6 and I mainly use PS and ID, along with some Illustrator. It's working pretty good - definitely better than my old laptop - but still not as fast as I had hoped. Would adding more RAM help you think? Or would it be a waste of money? Thanks.
