Aug 7, 2012 5:07 PM

Same document displays at different size in cs5 compared to cs6.  Also seems like zoom increment is larger in cs6.  Is this the case. Surely theres a way to change this that doesn't incolve scripting?

Also I cant find where the current zoom level is displayed. am I going mad

I haven't noticed any change in Zoom increment. Don't have CS5 available anymore so I can't check.

You'll find the zoom percentage at the top of the screen on the Application bar:

If you're talking about 100% view, then yes, it is different. It has to do with the new preview for mobile devices. Long thread about it here someplace,

The change was made to make 100% view come closer to making it actual size so theoretically 1 inch would be actually 1 inch.

Last report I heard it works quite well on the Mac, maybe not so well in Windows 7.

There's a preference for the zoom method that never made it to the GUI, but is available via scripting. You can run the script once to set zooming preference back to CS5 and earlier. Here's the thread Peter's referring to, there's one line JavaScript early in the thread and an AppleScript later.
