Janelle, thanks for these links, but I already understood that the resampling choices should give different results, otherwise I wouldn't have reported the problem of them producing identical results.
By the way, there are now 5 choices in the Save For Web resampling list, not just the three in your outdated information.
The main point, however, is as I stated before:
Problem: all choices except "Nearest Neighbor" output an identical image (which is different to all results of Image Size).
