How to add extra audio to a multi cam sequence.

Aug 7, 2012 4:09 PM

I have two tracks of video with audio attached. I also have 3 external audio tracks symced up to the videos.

When I create a new sequence and choose the same amout of audio tracks. Then I drop the files into this sequence ( nested). I get a choice of

audio up to five but when I choose one of the audio tracks without video attached. I don't get the single tracks audio.

Did I miss something here. Or I am I supposed to drop the external audio in after editing and sync up?

Any help would be great. I think I hit every tutorial there was with no answer.

Make your multicam edits first, then renest the original sequence into the multicam sequence on tracks 2.  Delete the video, and move the audio up from 2 to 1, replacing the cut audio.  This will give you all 5 audio tracks in the nested multicam.  You can then mix in the original sequence and everything will come through.

Yep, that'll do the trick as well.
