Captivate v5.5
I have created a project detailing a document and how to complete it.
Many of the slides contain explanations of the terminology within the document with up to 5 terms explained on any one slide
I would like to create an "index" slide at the start of the project that will list all the different terms used throughout the project that would enable the learner to click on a term and jump to and view the relevant slide.
I need the slide to stop when it gets to the end rather than the project continue.
I need a "return to index" button on the slide to enable further searching or to exit the project.
I can create the index slide and create click boxes to jump to the different slides, but I am struggling to get the "Return To Index" button set up correctly.
I want the "Return" button to be visible from start of slide to end of slide, for the slide not to move forward when it gets to the end, and of course to return the learner back to the Index slide and the "Return" button will have to be visible on many different slides.
Any help would be much appreciated, suggested alternatives, or am I trying to achieve the impossible ?

Hi Noel,
Did you try the simple action 'Go to last slide visited' for the Return button?
If you keep the default pausing for the button, eventually move the pause near to the end of the slide, if I understand your question correctly this should be what you need. I suppose then that only one slide is visited from the index slide, and that you do not enable a playbar because the Next button of the playbar will always advance to the physically next slide.

Hi Lilybiri,
1. Have not tried the "Go to last slide visted" action (yet). Is there any difference / advantage to using this option vs. jump to slide X ?
2. I will try moving the pause twowards the end of the slide.
3. The concept is (a) jump from index slide to slide with information. (b) Jump back to index slide. (c) Repeat as required (d) Jump to last slide to exit.

No real difference, you could have used 'Jump to slide 'Index'' as well, try to point to a slide label instead of a slide number (in case you ever rearranged slides). You have to be aware that something has to pause the index slide, but since you have a lot of click boxes on it, do not think that is a problem.
