SUBMIT Function compatibility

We have created a document that is distributed to our field techs that is completed and executed but completing the SUBMIT Button.  Could you tell me if this fuction (SUBMIT) is compatible with iPAD or is the SUBMIT fuction and active X file and not compatible.  If not compatible is there an App or program that could help and work for both PC and Apple product?
