If I happen to have an image or for example zip file on my desktop, Bridge crashes every time on opening.Its really annoying.
How to get rid of this?
Try unziping fle and putting images in a folder.
And because Bridge crashes, Mini Bridge won't run either.
You are not providing enough information to narrrow down the problem. Did unzipping file and putting it in a folder help?
A picture in a folder that is on the desktop crashes the Bridge as well.
I have read that too many icons of the desktop can cause problems.
Can you put some pictures in a folder not on the desktop and try that?
I have 14 short cuts on my desktop.
It seems that this problem is not only about desktop, its about trying to open any drive also. 32
No matter 32 or 64 bit version, they both crash the same.
What OS, how much RAM, video card driver updated?

Look at Help in OS and find Event Log. Open and look for errors. Look particualrliy at Applications - Bridge. You are looking for the Default Module. This is where error lies.

Maybe this problem has something to do with SSD and temp not on default location.
Exactly right. If you move the temp file from the C drive it causes problems. Adobe working on solution.
