Bridge CS6 freezes every time a file is changed outside of Bridge

Running Bridge CS6 on OSX 10.7.

 

If I open an InDesign file from Bridge and work on the file, then save it, when I return to Bridge, I can't click on anything and the program is essentially frozen. I can use Command + W to close the window then Command + N to reopen the window and everything works fine. It's basically like if you have Bridge open, edit any of the files that are in the folder you are browsing, then return to Bridge, nothing works. The window has to be closed and reopened every time. This has been happening since the initial install.

 

HUGE annoyance and it never happened with CS5, anyone else having this problem or know a way to fix it?

    Have you moved the temp flile from default position?  Does not work well unless temp is on C drive.

    haven't changed anything. had a power failure about 2 weeks ago and everytime i opened bridge it asked said there was a problem with the cache and that it needed to be purged. so i did that about 4 times before the warning stopped coming up. everything is from a clean install and it's happened basically since day 1.
