Show full slice name in property window?

Hi,

 

Normally when I select a slice, the property window shows the full slice name including page name. However for some unknown reason, it has now changed to showing only the _r?_c? suffix only.

 

Is there a way to revert it back so full name is displayed?

    Try File > HTML Setup, select the Document Specific tab, and choose "doc.name" from the first dropdown menu.

    groove,

     

    This is just the setting of my system, and even toggling it doesn't make any change. Although the output files are prefixed by page name, in that small property panel box there is none.

    Hmm... Do the slices have names in the Web Layer (in the Layers panel), or is each one simply labeled "Slice"? (The generic "Slice" would be typical here; handwritten names will override the automatic naming used by the Properties Inspector.)

    Also, try this: Open a new document and create a slice. Does the same behavior occur?

    I found this might be a small FW bug: if I export the slice (either current page or whole), the properties box will again display the full name. So it should be just because some developer had forgotten to update this text field at some point.

     

    It works now.
