HELP ID will not run

I have the Master Suite and all other programs work just fine. ID will not start, I even un-installed and re-installed.

    Which version, and what OS?

     

    Waht happens when you try to run ID?

    Reset your Preferences:

    • (Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
    • (Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

    Did it ever start?

     

    One likely candidate is SING, so take a look at SING Removal

    You mentioned it is showing in task manager. Is that as a process, or in the Applications tab? Do you see it in the taskbar at all?

     

    Does it run if you create and log into a new user account?

    Did you try a new user?

     

    Open as a task, but not running on screen used to be a common symptom of ID waiting for input in a dialog that was not showing. It happened a lot when users were running multiple monitors or flatscreens at lower than maximum resolution. Are you doing anything like that?
