When saving tiff files in CS4, how can I have file names automatically created with ".tif" extension. Currently they are saved as non specific file types unless I include, or later add, ".tif" every time.

OK, I just made a screen shot of the pertinent CS4 preferences on my Mac for you. You can't miss it now. ![]()

If you still don't see it, yes, you have major problems. ![]()

Obviously, so do I. Maybe you can figure out how to make them in Photoshop. ![]()
Right now I can only insert them automatically on the Mac-Intel MacBook. The free "Skitch" utility version that runs on Power Macs is a beta that has already expired, and the company that acquired it (EverNote) no longer supports non-Intel Macs. The new one is for Intel based Macs only.
Of course, I could open a screen shot from the Power Mac and bring it into Skitch on the Mac-Intel, since they are connected by Ethernet; but it's an extra step.
