How do you move a selection outline drawn with the polygonal lasso tool? (the marquee tool alows you to move the selection outline using CNTR-ALT, then CNTRL-ALT back to the part of the image you want to cover. Can this not be done using this tool? How else can i accomplish this? Thanks!!!!

It should work the same way. What happens when you try?

What version of elements and operating system?

If i understand what your doing it should be Ctrl+Alt to duplicate the selection contents and just Ctrl to move the selection contents around.

Even though it should work the same you might consider making a copy of the selection contents to a new layer by Ctrl+J (New layer via copy).

That copies the contents inside the selection to a new layer and then you can move the contents around freely with the move tool.

If you just want to move the selection outline and not the contents, make sure the New Selection button is enabled.
