can't reinstall acrobat x pro from CS6 Design Student

I recently purchased CS6 Design Studen & Teacher edition. About a month after I completed my registrated, Acrobat X Pro stopped working.

Before you mention it: I've seen the other thread on the subject, and have followed the steps on that thread (deactivating and reactivating another adobe product). The problem is, BEFORE I did that, I had already uninstalled Acrobat, thinking I could reinstall it and it might work.

Every time I try to reinstall Acrobat, I get error messages that look something like this:

Exit Code: 6

Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW050 ... WARNING: DS013, DW065 ...

It worked fine the first time I installed it. How can I get it to install again?

I have exactly the same problem; though with Acrobat as a part of CS6 Master Collection.  Very infuriating!  I even tried placing the "Data1.cab" file directly in it's appropriate windows folder as suggested in another forum; but it didn't work.

It could be a problem with the installation file so try to install acrobat from payloads and if you get the same error msg i.e 'Data1.cab in that case you need to redownload the suite

Login to adobe.com and click on the link below to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro English Windows from the link below :

    http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/APRO/10/win32/AcrobatPro_10_Web _WWEFD.exe

Try installing it and check if you get the same errors.

    Ravi
