Can you please provide the exact error message you receive when trying to install.  Also did you successfully remove the software before trying to reinstall?  Do you recall what error messages you were receiving which caused you to try to reinstall?

Dreambjo what Adobe software do you currently have installed.  Are you able to successfully remove Photoshop Elements from Add and Remove Programs?  If not what error messages are received during the uninstall process?

From your description it appeared you were attempting to install Photoshop Elements 10 on top of the already installed, but non-functional, program?
