Upgrading versions after a clean installation.

We have a few OSX machines at our shop, running CS 5.5 Production Premium. It is necessary for me to reformat each of the drives for various reasons having to do with upgrading OSX to Lion. After getting Lion up and running, I then want to take this opportunity to upgrade to Adobe CS6, using licenses I already own (but have never yet used).

Do I need to deactivate my CS5.5 licenses first? I may need to reinstall 5.5 on the very same computers again, just to have it as a fallback. Any advice would be appreciated.

You better.... Reformatting erases the activation info and *poof* it's gone and you'd have to call support to reset activations. And if you really wanan install CS5.5, install iot before CS6 to avoid issues with file associations and programs e.g. attempting to invoke the wrong version of Bridge...
