CS6 Set Up

I've recently upgraded to CS6 with no issues and the program is working great.  Problem is when saving an edited photo the program saves it (Tiff or JPEG) with a "CS3 extension."  That being the case I'm not able to reopen the file with CS6 unless I reopen it in Camera Raw.  I uninstalled older versions--CS3 and CS5, however, when checking my X86 program files I see I still have program folders for CS3 and CS5.  Is it safe to delete the CS3 and CS5 program folders and if so, will CS6 then save photo files so I can reopen them?  I also have a folder "Adobe Utilities" as well as a new folder "Adobe Utilities-CS6"  Do I need both utilities folders.

Thanks!

Randy

File associations have nothing to do with teh programs. You need to fix that on your system. feeel free to uninstall older versions, but that won't fix your issue right away. you still need to reinstall CS6 again after that. Otehr than that simpyl search the web on how to chnage file associations on Windows.
